Fun in the sun

This past Sunday morning started very poorly for me. I had a model shoot scheduled for 9:30am. At 9:20 (when I was already at our location) she called to say she was late, her curling iron broke, blah-di-blah. She said she'll be there at 10 and I settled in my car to read a book (Drowing Ruth - thanks, Katherine :) ). Then at 10:05, she said it would be another 10-15 mins. At 10:20, I left, leaving her a voicemail that I had waited enough. I came back home feeling (1) terribly annoyed (2) relieved that I didn't take pictures of someone who had so little respect for my time.

As I walked in the door, Mr.M. and the kids were all heading out for a walk, so I joined in. I regaled myself with camera work while the kids ran around the greenbelt. Ro did the whole walk with us, running around at first and slowing to a veerrryyy slllooooowwww walk later. Mr.M. carried him home the last 1/4 mile while I took over the now tired dogs.

I played around with backlight, angled light and direct light to experiment. I didn't like most of the pictures I took, but here are a few I am willing to share :)

Thoughtful, backlit Ro. I love how the sun lights his hair up.

For the most part he just wanted to follow Pixel around. That's quite a workout because Pixel can RUN!
