Letting go of maps

We recently indulged in some remodeling and furniture rearranging. During the process of amptying and refilling my book shelf, I came across a huge collection of maps, tail guides and city info pamphlets. Spanning the width of continental US, Hawaii, and northern Europe, I apparently had a map of every little place I intended to return to.

As I sat staring at my collection, I realized I would probably never go back to most of these places. Partly because we have a kid and partly because my travel style is so different from MrM's. It made me sad to toss all these maps in the recycle bin so right before I hauled the bag out, I took a quick picture of the bag of broken travel dreams.
