Raven, Ro, Rugs

All in a day! I had a slow start to the day yesterday. MrM was off flying and I had to hold the fort down. By afternoon I had a serious case of restlessness. So, thank goodness I had scheduled my first volunteer photo shoot. I'm now the volunteer photographer for Heart of Texas Lab Rescue (HotLR). We used to volunteer with HotLR as foster parents, which is how we ended up with Pixel. We haven't been able to foster in a while and I have been looking for other ways to give to them. With my enthusiasm for photography, it hit me that I could do two things for them: take pictures of their foster dogs for use on their website, and take pictures of people at their events so that the proceeds can go directly to them. We (the board & I) are excited about this!

Presenting, Raven:

After Raven left, Ro and I took his horsie for a walk around the block. We barefooted around, met some neighbors, squealed together and soaked up the sun.

Once all that was done, we headed out to replace all the rugs in our house. Most importantly, we needed a drool-mat for Kuttu since has as outdrooled the one we currently have. Here is Kuttu, testing his new mat for comfort. I think he approves.
Drool mat: (n). A rug placed at the spot where a dog eats, upon which is dog is put in a sit-stay while his meal is being prepared, so that the very slippery and viscous drool falls only on the mat and doesn't endanger humans by falling on the hard floor.

It was a good Saturday for me and I get to enjoy today since MrM has assumed all baby responsibilities to say "Thanks for yesterday". Yay!
