On the morning of his birthday, Ro got to open gifts from his grandparents. Yes, people from other continents got him gifts and we hadn't bought anything :) We started the morning with a traditional candle-blowing moment.

The next day, we won the "best parents" award and got him his first real bike with training wheels. He can only tippy toe on it and prefers to scoot with his feet (but won't let us remove the pedals) to pedaling. Actually, he REALLY prefers it if we push him around and we have a long stick to do that with. Here he is, enjoying a slight downhill along the sidewalk.

The day after that, we had a birthday party with all his teeny toddler friends. Auntie Renee baked the best cupcakes (and lets give credit to uncle Matt for assembling them!). She used two of Ro's favorite things as themes to decorate the cupcakes.
In fact, Ro was more intent on spelling STOP and eating the stop signs and buses and on the cupcake itself. (Refer to older posts about stop sign obsession)

For the cupcake that we put his two little candles on, we went all out and stuck a stop sign in behind the bus. Here he is, wondering if he can disobey my "wait" and just eat it. :)

We had a great photobooth style boothless shoot with fun accessories that our friends brought along. Ro didn't want anything to do with it till he saw the two "big kids" wearing props and he promptly wanted in on it.
I can't believe my little "baby" is two. I'll have to make a new blog tag that just says "Ro" and not "baby". *sob* :)
