Grandmom (with Ro), mom and me

Answers to random questions you might have, relating to my grandmom:
From the second picture - no she isn't blue eyed. That is the gray cast of cataract which we are trying to convince her to get operated.
The white smear on her forehead: she doesn't wear a "red dot" because she is a widow. While a lot of present day widows do wear a red or black bindis to not be obvious about their widowhood, more traditional (and older) women from my community wear something like what my grandmom does. And no, we don't send our widows to Varanasi to die the way the movie "Water" tried to convince you all!

I love these pictures! SO sweet.
1) The family resemblance is so strong among the generations of women in your family. My family is similar, somewhere I have a photo of my grandmother, mother, and myself.
2) Ro is absolutely adorable.
