Deck Project, Part 1

Our house has this weird concrete patio. The first 6' are really nice. The next 3' were an after thought and didn't attach to the foundation. This was followed by another 8' of grass strip which turned into a mud bath after rains, making us get our carpet washed every year. Well, NO MORE OF THAT SHIITE.

Day 1. Framework of deck laid down. Half the patio drilling done.

Day 2- patio fully covered with frame work. Half the patio covered with decking.

Day 2:

MrM paces the length of the patio. Look how mysterious he is - you can't see his face in any of the reflections. I like it!

The deck raises our patio floor level to match that of our house. No idea why Ro has that naughty look on his face.
Day 3:

Entire floor laid out. Bench and backrest in progress along the back fence.
