Parabolic rice moves furthest?

I thought I was buying some cracked Parboiled Rice from the Indian grocery store nearby. I walked into the kitchen to find my mom giggling, and she made me take a second look.



Hmm.. does my rice move in a parabolic trajectory and hence cook the fastest? Geek rice alert!
