Inky blue rebellion

When my maternity leave started, I decided that I would change my toe nail colors from dark red to blue, a color I never wear to work (on my nails, that is). But MrM took strong exception to having a blue-toed wife at the hospital (something about not being taken seriously, etc).

A week after RoRo's arrival I painted them inky blue and gave MrM a hard time about nail color prejudice. Fast forward to this Wednesday - I went in for my 4-week follow up exam and as I was reclining with great dignity, feet in stirrups and all, my OB quips (all in good humor) "Blue nail polish! I can send you home with some other accessories for 12 year olds if you like". You should have seen the look of vindication on MrM's face. All I could  muster up was "You should have been a marriage counselor instead."

(Product review: Finger Paints nail color - nice color but too thick to be able to apply easily. I prefer the consistency of OPI).
