Bastrop - flying over smoke

On Sunday we flew over Bastrop right after sunset. A wildfire has been raging in Bastrop over the last ten days, and while it is slowly getting under control, incredible amount of forest land has been destroyed. In addition, more than a thousand homes have burnt down, and evacuees haven't started returning home yet. I've never been so close to a major disaster and it was a humbling experience to look at the scope of the fire.
