Happy Gotcha Month, Pixel!

One year and a few days ago, Pixel became a permanent part of our family. Pixel was our third foster dog through a local lab rescue. We loved him, but adopted him out with broken hearts, saying we would keep him forever if he ever came back. Unbelievably, the adoption fell through  and Pixel came to call this home.

I've been experimenting with backdrops for portraits, and I threw a creamy cal-king sheet over our dining chairs to create an impromptu "studio", shooting under light from our skylight.

Pixel looks dashing against white!

Kuttu joined us for the shoot.

Sadly, white is not Kuttu's color. He looks best against red, and I will take new pictures soon.
This picture was taken with flash and I enjoy the washed out look. We call it "Kuttu's Sense of Snow" (after the movie Smilla's Sense of Snow, which I highly recommend).

At the end of the shoot Pixel managed to bring the sheet down and gave me extreme entertainment as he tried to find his way out.
Happy Gotcha Month, Pixel!
